So, Saturday morning after I had finished a family session at the state park down the road, I got this brilliant idea to try and take family picture updates of me, Jason, & Julia for Christmas cards this year. This would not be my first attempt, and I am well aware of how badly it goes every time. However, I thought, "well, maybe we can at least get something."
With that said, Sunday after church, we get all dressed up and look nice for pictures and decide to go take them at the state park as well because the colors of the trees were just gorgeous. Once we get there, we realize that we left the tripod at the house, so I decide to just use picnic tables as my "tripod." It really didn't matter though because Julia wanted nothing to do with pictures...she wanted to lick the leaves off the ground. While I was adjusting the camera for Jason to take some of Julia and I, I hear, "NICOLE, TAKE JULIA NOW!" My first thought was something bad happened, and, in a sense, it did. I look at Jason who was standing next to the lake with Julia, and then down at the water, and Julia's boot is floating away....
We scrounge around looking for a stick long enough to catch the boot. Thankfully, we found one JUST BARELY long enough! Boot saved.
After that incident, I decided maybe it was best that we just wait for pictures and just cherish this silly mistake from years to come.
We at least managed to get two photos, and I would say they pretty much describe who we are as a family. :)

Keith Family | Portraits
This past weekend, I had the privilege of taking family portraits for this sweet family. Jessica, the oldest daughter, is actually one of very own Globalites, and her mom, Mrs. Tina, is Julia's nursery teacher! This family is very special to us, and we are thankful the Lord placed them in our lives.
Here are a few of my favorites from this beautiful autumn session!

Kelsey & Becca | Best Friend Session | Autumn 2013
It was very exciting to do my first "Best Friend Session" with two very beautiful girls. Kelsey, aka "Marler," wanted to surprise Becca with a photo shoot for her birthday, so we decided to go to the beautiful Fort Mountain State Park right down the road, and it really turned out to be such a gorgeous day!
I am very thankful for the opportunity to pour into these girls here at Global. I am blessed by their sweet spirits and passion to serve Christ.

Happy Birthday Becca!
Moving Along
Lately, I have been doing some research and trying to figure out who I am as a photographer. It's definitely a passion of mine, and a talent the Lord has given me to use for His glory. That is my ultimate desire. I might love something, but it doesn't matter unless I use it as means of furthering His kingdom and giving Him every ounce of glory and credit. I do what I do because of Christ!
I have been working on coming up with an OFFICIAL logo, and I do not desire to "change" it, but only to make it better to fit who I am along the way. So...I thought I would share it with you all!

A Little Autumn Fun
This has been a rough week for Jason & Julia. My poor babies have had popular virus called "Hand, Foot, & Mouth," and it is not a fun thing to deal with. Yesterday was such a gorgeous day, so we had to get out of the house and play a little. :)
