My 4th of July weekend was a really special one this year. Our family spent the whole weekend relaxing and spending time with one another at the lake, and it was a wonderful time spent. I also had the privilege to take a few engagement photos for my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law! It was a blessing to have this opportunity, and they turned out so beautifully! I am so excited the Lord is bringing Meghan into our family, and I am really excited about gaining another sister. :) Congratulations Jonathan & Meghan!

Elijah is Turning One!

This afternoon I was able to snap a few photos for Elijah's birthday invites, and, of course, he is as cute as always! It's funny because I have had his first birthday planned out since before we found out Julia was a girl. I knew that if I ever had a boy, his first birthday theme would be a "Gone Fishing" theme because fishing is what the Stanland's love...and hunting, lol.

It is so hard to believe that it has been almost a year since we met our little guy for the first time. I am thankful the Lord chose me to be his Mommy. I could not imagine life without my little Elijah Man.

A few updates:

• He is walking! Not "fully," but he will take steps here and there. He knows when he does it to because he looks around to see if anyone is going to clap. It's the cutest. :) 
• He weighs between 21-24 lbs and is a complete chunk. It's the best! 
• This boy loves his food! He is eating whatever we eat at this point. His favorites are still veggies! 
• He still loves his bottle and blanket. We are going to have a time when we have to transition him to just the sippy cup in a few weeks. He will drink from it, but definitely prefers his bottle. Pray for us! Haha.
• He is still the smiliest baby, and he loves to pucker up his lips and make faces. He is such a silly boy!

Cousins | Memorial Day Weekend | Redington Shores, FL

This post is a little late, but a few weeks ago, our family was able to spend a little mini-vacation down at our favorite spot... Redington Shores. This place is more than just a condo, or getaway, because it holds so many special memories for me and my family.

Lately, I have realized the older both of my children get, the more difficult it is becoming to capture their littles faces on camera. However, they always turn out absolutely perfect, and memories are made during our time saying, "Julia, look at the camera! Say cheese!" and "Eli! Eli! Eli!" Haha!
