Julia & Elijah | Spring Portraits | McClay Gardens

Lately, I have realized the older both of my children get, the more difficult it is becoming to capture their littles faces on camera. However, they always turn out absolutely perfect, and memories are made during our time saying, "Julia, look at the camera! Say cheese!" and "Eli! Eli! Eli!" Haha!

Here are a few shots from our time at McClay Gardens this past Easter Sunday! Enjoy!

Elijah | 6 Months Old

Elijah turned 6 months old in February, and celebrated his first Valentine's Day! Mommy was his date of course! ;) There have been a few developments since then, but I will try my best not to get them confused with his 7 month updates (which are coming)! I'll get on track before he is a year old... maybe. :)

At 6 Months Old, Elijah...

  • Weight: 18lbs.
  • Favorite foods: Bananas, sweet potatoes, & pears.
  • ROLLED OVER for the first time! (only belly to back) He was so proud of himself!
  • He started to sit up so long as he was supported with a pillow or something to prop him up. Eventually, he sat up without any support!
  • He started to jibber jabber more and said "Dadadadadada." Julia said "Mama" first, so at least Daddy didn't win both times. ;) Haha.

Elijah | 5 Months Old

This Mama is so behind on little man's monthly updates! It has been very busy in the Stanland household!

At 5 months old, Eli...
  • Weighed around 16-17lbs. Eats twice a day.
  • Favorite foods: Bananas and sweet potatoes.
  • He moved on from the bumbo to his big boy high chair.
  • HAS TWO TEETH. (the front, bottom) --- We thought he was getting four in at one time, but the top two still haven't broke though yet.
  • Discovered his voice. While it is cute and silly, he can be very loud, especially in public places.
  • His feet/toes. He loves to try and put them in his mouth. Unfortunately, his belly gets in his way, so he gets frustrated.
  • He became more interested in his toys, and loves to put all of them in his mouth.
  • He loves to jump and bounce.
  • He started to "belly laugh." Instead of a little chuckle, it became a "real laugh." It is the cutest.
  • He loves it when Daddy plays "Old Uncle Sam" with him!
