Meredith's Soft, Farmhouse Style Nursery

For those that know me know how much I obsess over all things farmhouse...and yes, Joanna Gaines. She was most definitely my inspiration for baby girl's nursery. Shiplap, sea salt wall color, pastel accents, farm animals, antique/vintage items, handmade quilts, and cute farmhouse signs. These are a few of my favorite things! Even though Meredith is our third baby, I have never had the opportunity to do a nursery exactly how I wanted because we've always lived in rental homes/apartments. Having the ability to do whatever I want this time was so much fun, and I took FULL advantage (within a tight budget) of being able to do just that! It's so funny, but her room is no doubt my favorite room in the entire house. I literally can sit in there rocking my baby girl for hours. It's so cozy and inviting...yet simple. I really didn't do much, and many of the items in there I have been collecting over the years (in hopes of having another baby girl) and some have been given to me. Each piece has a story, and is special to me in some way. I couldn't think of a better place to have them. I hope you enjoy looking at these photos as much as I love being in this room!

Meredith Anne | One Month Old

I cannot believe today has been one month since our sweet Meredith entered into this world! This month has definitely flown by, and she is growing like a weed! While February was a whirlwind of crazy and exhaustion, this first month of her life has been one of joy and blessings. We are so in love with our baby girl!

What is Meredith doing?

• Weight: 8lbs 13oz (as of today)
• She is becoming more alert with everyday.
• Her hair is lightening, and her eyes are a beautiful bright blue.
• She LOVES bath time!
• She has had some tummy troubles, but it doesn't stop her from eating. Girl loves to eat! {Though it was not what we wanted, Mommy had to stop nursing and move to formula (just like big sis and big bro had to do), but we know she is healthy and loves the bottle!} 
• She is an expert grunter. It's piggy-like, and absolutely the cutest thing ever. Her hiccups sound like a squeaky toy...much like Julia when she was a baby.
• She sleeps great {when she finally goes to sleep}. She has made it to 6 hours max at night. I'll take it!
• She is a drama queen, no doubt. She has this really cute dramatic cry to get what she wants. She's really good at it. Seriously, who can resist that sweet little face? 
• She has been practicing nap time in the crib. She is a very noisy sleeper, so the sooner she gets to her crib, the better we may sleep...once she is sleeping through the night! Ha!

Meredith Anne, you are a beautiful, sweet blessing to our family! I can't wait to see how you grow in month two! We love you! 

Meredith Anne | Newborn Portraits

It's hard to believe that our sweet Meredith will be 4 days old in just a few short hours. She came a couple of weeks early; although, she would have come at least by Valentine's Day if she had not of come on her own. God had other plans, and we could not be more thankful. This was no doubt my most difficult pregnancy of my three babies, but God had His hand over Meredith and I during this pregnancy journey, and He protected us.

Meredith Anne was born February 8, 2018 at 8:02pm. She weighed 7lbs 10oz and was 19in long. She is nothing but pure beauty and sweetness. Big sister, Julia, and big brother, Eli, are so proud and in love with their new baby sister. She has completed our family. We are so blessed.

She is a very calm baby. She sleeps all the time. The only time she fusses is if she is hungry {to be expected}. Other than that, she is very go with the flow. Mommy & Daddy are praying that sticks because we need a calm child! LOL.

We love you baby girl, and we cannot wait to watch you grow into the person God made you to be!
